Back to school, daily struggles and the triumphs

The schools started back on Monday, much needed for 4yr old. Who unfortunately has come out in spots that looked suspiciously like chicken pox but never blistered. Feel like mystery rash and the teenage girl attitude is related!!

Have been relaxed most of the week. Mainly catching up on washing due to washing next size up clothes for baby and 3yr old (seriously they have more clothes than I ever owned!!) it’s a lot of work!

The sandstorms returned which meant no dog walking without losing eyesight and lung function from being battered by the dirt.

Joined back at slimming world this week so will also be very very boring and add my daily meals (yes I know you are yawning but it’s a must!!) have set my target at 2 stone 6 loss, would love to achieve that by the summer! Today was the 1st day back on plan. Breakfast consisted of 2 cups of tea and a banana, lunch was chicken quiche with salad and dinner was amazing lamb and chickpea tagine with fruity couscous. Absolutely delicious!!

6yr old has not enjoyed being back at school resulting in no sleeping till midnight, massive meltdowns during homework attemps and general misery. Hope he adjusts to the change in routine soon!

I have been watching my friends beautiful clever little 18m old girl, what a delight!! Unfortunately the baby HATED her and followed her around crying on Monday. So on Wednesday we went to baby group and she and 3yr old had a wonderful time! Baby on the other hand screamed the whole time along with food refusal and throwing himself on the floor.

This time of year also means Easter crafts! 4yr old brought home a lovely card which I forgot to take a picture of *badmumalert* and decorated an egg… Which he then ATE! Hope they were fresh!

3yr old made a card too he was really proud of it 🙂

There’s nothing like the feeling of seeing how proud they are of their little art project.

We also had an important hospital appointment for baby boy which didn’t go great but we have a plan set in place now so hopefully some answers and a solution are on the way and we will get our happy amazing little soldier back to his delightful self!

That’s the schools off for Good Friday. Have Easter crafts planned and some outdoor activities. Can’t wait as hubby off work too!!

Last day of the holidays!

It’s been a long day! Up at the crack of dawn with the baby and his fever again! Wish we could find out what’s causing it.

We headed to Culbin Forrest before lunch for a nice walk around the gravel pit pond. The baby was carried all the way in our new Ergo which has still failed to meet expectations. The boys had a lovely time on their bikes and we also saw a massive ant hill!

On the way home the hubby took some pics as we are experiencing some awful sandstorms just now!

One of our last treats was a chippy lunch! Followed by tablet ice cream which was delicious!

The kids are shattered so a roast dinner followed by baths and frozen is on the cards! Looking forward to getting back to normality tomorrow. Have baking to do this evening for the boys breakfasts and lunches during the week! Will upload pictures and recipes too.

The beginning…

1st of all, an introduction!

I’m stef. 26 year old mum of 4 hilarious boys! Aged 6, 4, 3 and 1. Have been married to MrG for 5 years this year!  We also have 2 crazy collies who will be 2 in June and September. We love cloth nappies, baby wearing and co-sleeping. We live in a small town in north East Scotland which is surrounded by wonderful forests, beautiful beaches and rolling meadows. The boys are kept busy between board games, jigsaws, after school activities, crafts, long walks and so much more! We love movie nights snuggled on the sofa! Especially Disney! There will also be mundane posts regarding the ridiculous amount of food my 6 yr old packs away and how little people go through such an excessive amount of clothes in a day! I will also share my (opinionated) views on various articles and news stories. Enjoy!
